Whether you’re going to school, a party, the mall, or just walking to a friend’s house — use this quick list to feel confident, prepared, and safe.
TECH & COMMUNICATION
☐ Phone fully charged
☐ Portable charger in your bag (if needed)
☐ Shared your plan with a trusted adult or friend
☐ Location sharing turned ON with someone you trust
☐ Emergency contacts saved in Favorites
CLOTHING & COMFORT
☐ Comfortable shoes you can move in
☐ Easy-to-carry bag or backpack
☐ Weather-appropriate layers (jacket, hoodie, etc.)
☐ Personal items (keys, ID, any medications)
MENTAL PREP
☐ You know your destination and how to get there
☐ You have a backup plan (in case ride/carpool cancels)
☐ You’ve scanned the area before arriving (check exits, lights, people)
☐ You trust your gut — and will leave if something feels off
SAFETY STRATEGIES
☐ You can say “No” and mean it
☐ You know how to get help nearby (security, store, adult)
☐ You have 1–2 simple self-defense moves in mind (like wrist release or push away)
☐ You know it's never wrong to leave early, say something, or ask for help
FINAL CHECK
☐ You feel calm, confident, and clear about your plan
☐ You remember: Your safety > other people’s opinions
Tip from Vydurya (Founder):
“You don’t need to feel afraid to be safe — just prepared. Confidence comes from knowing you’ve got your own back. Have Fun!!!”
